StarMegaDo Photos on Flickr!

I’ve uploaded my photos from StarMegaDo onto to Flickr. Feel free to check them out! I wasn’t nearly as shutter happy as those around me, but there are a few interesting snippets and video clips in the set. I am going have to add some more photos from other people’s sets!!!

Wall Street Journal Article

Scott McCartney from the WSJ was also on board on the StarMegaDo to watch the madness unfold. Here’s a link to his article which also includes a video with yours truly in the background…often.

BetaBlue Fail

I was excited to learn that my flight on JetBlue had BetaBlue on it! They are testing wifi on board. I liked that they told you this when you opened your try table! Surprise!

Well the surprise was that it didn’t work for me. I followed the directions and tried to access my email. No dice. I could access Amazon.com however it was text based, not HTML. Hmm.

Epic Fail.

Sad face!

Star Alliance is everywhere!

En route to JFK via subway, I found myself to be surrounded by a huge media buy from Star Alliance and Continental.

Literally.

Welcome to the Continental tunnel! As the newest member to the Star Alliance, they have done a tremendous advertising blitz to make sure that everyone knows it. Don’t I know it! It’s funny because it now makes me smile. Learning the secrets of the trade…

Raunheim Eats

The last day in Germany was a nice way to end the trip. We had a nice crew going to lunch: Albert (“that’s SO Concord”), Michelle (from LH), Christoph (“the Hon”), Tommy’s brother who’s a dj (sorry!) and of course, my self.

We took a cab into Raunheim on Michelle’s suggestion to eat at The Corner Steakhouse, a cook your own steak place. I chose schiztnel. The steaks looked good, but I wanted German food. The dish was quasi German but good.

It was a quaint place, what one would expect from a German restaurant. No bier though…no more alcohol please. Coke Light was the way to go! No ice. We are in Europe.

Apparently Americans love ice. This is true.

I LOVE ICE.

But that’s okay, I can wait to have ice. At least drinks are extremely chilled which makes it fine.

Great way to end my stint in Germany.

Fall Color

The weather couldn’t be more perfect in NY! It’s Fall all around me with the leaves gently falling to the ground. Strolling through Central Park is one of my favorite things to do in NY so I am thankful to have done it two days in a row.

I love New York

After getting to my New York destination, the only thing I wanted was take out. Take out and room service (as previously mentioned) are some
of favorite things. That being said, I was in the elevator with a Chinese take out delivery guy. I was sold.

Here’s the thing – yes, I am Chinese but that doesn’t mean that I hate americanized Chinese food. In fact, it’s one of my comfort foods. I am guilty of ordering general chicken but at least I ordered tofu with oyster mushrooms in black bean sauce. Yum.

It arrived 15 minutes later.

I love New York!

JETBLUE AND LUFTHANSA PARTY

Holy moly is this fate?! Leaving NYC today and I learn that the JetBlue and Lufthansa party is today at Terminal 5!!! And here I am and it’s like this glorious reunion of some of my fave Lufthansa ladies are here: Jennifer and Patti! What are the odds?!

I love this trip.

Priority Tags

Since I had checked into my FRA to JFK flight in First Class Check In, I got a priority tag on my bag! Woot woot! At least something of mine had status…

However, JFK fail because at baggage claim, after he who shall be named as “The HON” got his bag (first one out, surprise surprise), only few others came out, non priority. Hmm. Then the belt stopped working for about 20 minutes. Damn!

So much for priority!

Nose bleed at 30,000 feet

Wow, thanks dry nose for bleeding on a flight! That was awkward. I’m sure this thread exists somewhere on FlyerTalk, but what does one do when they are faced with a personal problem on board? I can only imagine the gamut of weird things that happen to you while you’re on a plane…
