Lufthansa Tours / Training

Checked in at the LTC (probably wrong acronym…) and I had received “moderator” status which was confusing to me because I’m not a mod! While waiting for others to check in, I was asked by one of the media people to be interviewed because I was the Lufthansa winner. I did my interview which personally did not like (I was fidgeting a lot) and then I found out it was CNN…crap. We had interesting media on board: CNN, Wal Street Journal, Conde Nast, an indie movie film crew and a guy writing a book.

Michelle, from Lufthansa, came up afterwards and said that I had interviewed well. (Pehaps I did…and if I didn’t, don’t hate!) She told me that she had received lots of positive feedback about me as the winner. Yay! People like me! Although I knew I would be fine in a sea of strangers, you just never know how the dynamics work out.

The tours began and guess what I got?Flight attedant training!!! The mods were doing the training for the charter flights the next day and I guess I got to do it too! We went into a mock up area that had four different kinds of plane cabins. It was very cool to have gone through the training. The galley is SO MUCH SMALLER once you start to prepare for service!!! I got the job to assist with pouring cocktails and yes, we poured actual drinks! I finally got to experience a business class treatment. Sort of. There was much laughter and interesting interpretations of the services provided on a plane…

The Lufthansa crew and our purser from Condor were great fun in this endevour! They too were often laughing pretty hard at what was going on. The next days service will definitely be interesting!!!

We finished up with a great dinner at the LTC and it was stunning in there. It was also the employee cafeteria. Can I work here please? What’s really amazing is how many important people we there from Lufthansa, Star Alliance, Condor…for example, VP of Marketing. Hello! We spoke briefly after I was identified as the contest winner…
It was an impressive turnout and I’m surprised to have seen so many of them. It was practically impossible to get board members to mixers! I was lucky if I got one!

I sat with Christopher of Star Alliance who was great to talk to. Can you give me miles? Just kidding! Super nice guy. He was the head of our table. I was excited to have sat at his table.
